//HELLO THERE//

&thank you

FOR VISITING MY

ePortfolio

When I attended SLCC between 2011-2013, I built my original ePortfolio on Weebly. My Weebly ePortfolio won the SLCC ePortfolio Tuition Waiver Scholarship and showcased my work from various courses, my hobbies, passions, and other things I did outside of class. Not much was required for the ePortfolio at that time and not many classes requested assignments to be posted on the ePortfolio, so, for this reason, you may find that some of my coursework is not quite as extensive as more recent ePortfolio assignments current students are completing now.

Since graduating from SLCC, I've given my ePortfolio a complete transformation --in fact, it's a completely different version. Initially, this ePortfolio was created to demonstrate what could be done with the ePortfolio on Wix, but this has turned out to be my favorite version of the many ePortfolios I've created.

In this new version, I've added more content to my "Adventure is Out There!" page and have revamped some of my coursepages, improving the look of my assignments, and the look of my ePortfolio overall.

I hope my site will encourage you to build an amazing ePortfolio.

enjoy

let me introduce myself

My name is Victoria and I'm a Hmong-American girl from California. I began my undergraduate studies as a psychology major at University of California, Merced, then attended University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College (SLCC).

I have a Medical Assistant Certificate and an A.S. degree in General Studies from SLCC. My B.S. degree is in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Utah (that's speech language pathology and audiology in case you were wondering...and to clarify even more, these are the professionals who work with voice/speech/swallowing disorders and hearing & balance problems). I completed my medical assistant externship at the
University of Utah Hospital in various specialty clinics including urology, transplant, gastroenterology, travel, infectious diseases, surgery, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), allergy, and gerontology. After all of this training and education, I've learned that I do NOT want to be responsible for another person's well-being, so though my interest in health still remains, I most likely will not be continuing in this field. My journey towards graduate school was longer than expected, but in Spring 2019, I felt especially compelled to pursue a higher degree. In Fall 2019, I will be starting my Master's Program in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. I am so excited (and nervous)!

My personality type is
INFJ and I am definitely more of a writer than a talker, which makes my ePortfolio a great tool to help you get to know me better. My StrengthsQuest results are: Achiever, Deliberative , DisciplineLearner , and Relator. I love makeup, creating art (sculpting, painting, photography, and more), animals, shopping, food, relaxing, and learning about health-related topics. Things that are not my favorite include activities that require a lot of stamina and physical work (in other words, sports and exercising) and public speaking.
